A Note on This Beer
Elevation only initially released 300 cases of today’s caramel-drenched, orange zest-filled 2016 Vintage Arete Barleywine. Two years later, unopened bottles has have grown even more rare, making it a collector’s item with ever-increasing smoothness and notes of sweet orchard fruit!
Elevation creates complex melted toffee notes in a lofty 12.5% ABV Barleywine base before layering in the essense of bright citrus by dry-hopping exclusively with Centennial. Then they top it off with notes of cherry complexity by cellaring it for two years!
Bright bronze with expressive lacing of foam releases aromas of sweet kettle corn mixed with peppery orange zest. An astoundingly crisp palate launches into a lean citrusy bite. White cherry notes emerge from the extended cellaring, complemented by a splash of bitter tonic seltzer.
Thanks to our partnership with Elevation, the price on these cellared treasures is very reasonable, making it easy to stock up and jumpstart your cellar collection. Crack into a new bottle every few months, and you’ll discover why fans are loving the way its fruity sherry-like qualities are dynamically evolving.
