STOP what you’re doing! It’s Fresh Hop Season! That’s when hops have peaked with evergreen and citrus deliciousness. Available for just two weeks out of the year, the only way to experience the intensely vivid hop power is by living in the Northwest.

One of our favorite NW hop brewers Double Mountain DROPS everything they’re doing to get a hold of these fresh hops. Every September, they gather trucks for the 45 minute trek to Willamette Valley’s Sodbuster Farms -- their trusted source for just-off-the-bine fresh Brewers Gold and Simcoe Hops.

Within one hour of harvest, they put these lovely green nuggets into their 7.6% ABV Imperial Killer Green IPA. This floods the senses with dripping-with-resin pine and juicy blood orange bitterness you won’t taste in IPAs outside of Fresh Hop Season.  

Fresh Hop season is always a party.  If you ROLL on over to the Double Mountain where the Hood River Hop Fest is kicking off, you’ll experience Killer Green at its peak amongst the funky beats of live music, food trucks, and 60+ other Fresh Hop offerings.  But if you don’t make it this year, recreate the “freshest” of beer festivals in your own home with a intensely hoppy glass of Killer Green. #tistheseason
