About This Beer
Mikerphone crafted a rich, roasty Double Milk Stout and aged it in a Weller wheated bourbon barrel for 19 months, a Barton 1972 bourbon barrel for 26 months, and a Journeyman Distillery wheat whiskey barrel for 28 months. After all that time in spirit-soaked oak, they conditioned the brew with Vermont maple syrup, cacao nibs, vanilla, cinnamon and Philippine Heritage coffee beans from their pals at Mostra.
Tasting Notes
The decadent result is like washing down a short stack of French toast with an expertly prepared mocha latte. Rich cocoa and espresso nuances flow seamlessly into notes of woody syrup and earthy cinnamon. On the back end, vanilla oak and whiskey caramel lead you to a creamy conclusion.
