About This Beer
Any bottle from the legendary 3 Fonteinen deserves a special spot in the cellar. These brews are so sought-after, craft fans regularly make the pilgrimage to the small town of Beersel, Belgium for a taste.
For Lambic aficionados and Wild Ale fans, it is a near-sacred pilgrimage.
But even those who make the trek across the Atlantic won’t be able to get their hands on this berry-infused brew. The brewery produced just 655 bottles of this beautiful blend.
The brewers added heaps of hand-picked raspberries to a carefully crafted blend of barrel-aged Lambics, allowing the fruit to mingle with the tart beer for a full three months. Then, they transferred the brew into different barrels and aged it on oak for an additional 9 months.
Tasting Notes
One sip, and you will understand why 3 Fonteinen’s beers are internationally celebrated. It’s tart and tangy but never overwhelming. Bright berry flavors swirl through the pour, cascading through hints of lemongrass and hay-like funk. A touch of bitterness on the dry finish invites you back for taste after taste.
