About This Beer
The World Beer Cup winning crew created it using a melange of two Lambics: one infused with rhubarb and the other infused with local, hand-picked Schaarbeekse cherries.
For both, they favored four- and five-year old brews, lending the base plenty of funky tartness. And the total balance of fruit to beer comes out to a generous 359g per liter — or about 3 lbs per gallon.
Tasting Notes
Tangy rhubarb aromas waft out of the bottle. Pour a glass and each harmoniously balanced sip opens up into a whole world of fruity and earthy tones. Bright notes of fresh preserves swirl through tart lemon hints, while nuances of oak, horse blanket, and freshly tilled soil ground the gulp ahead of a dry finish.
