About This Beer
To craft their 5th Anniversary blend, the Idaho Stout specialists at Bombastic started with rich, roasty Stouts aged for over a year in Martinique rum, Kentucky bourbon, and Nevada bourbon barrels. Then, they blended it all together in an intense, rich, thrill ride of flavor! As you might expect from Bombastic, it’s anything but subtle –– just pure, unadulterated, barrel-y goodness!
Tasting Notes
Enormous, creamy currents of whiskey caramel, crème brûlée, dark mocha, and toasted coconut course through each sip –– all from the barrels! Decadent nuances of chocolate-covered raisin and charred oak carry on the finish, completely masking a big 12% ABV!

Like they said, it's very well balanced. You've got the oakyness mixed in with the whiskey & rum barrel flavors. And it's all balanced with the stout blend; none of the elements overpower the others

yeah it’s as boozy as it sounds. little booze heavier up front than I needed but still a solid stout. I’d recommend small doses.
