A Note on This Beer
Five Threads Brewing does not shy away from big brews.
And, they’ve been rewarded for their efforts — after all, they are California’s best brewery, according to Buzzfeed.
So, when they say “5x,” you can trust they’re talking five times everything — five times the flavor, five times the boldness, and five times the ABV!
That’s why we can only gawk in awe at the massive, boozy, delicious delight that is today’s 17% ABV Quintuple Stout, replete with rich, silky-smooth flavors.
The SoCal brewers say the Stout leans “more toward the Russian Imperial Stout side,” meaning you’ll be getting all those luscious, darker notes of an Imperial Stout with an emphasis on intensely delicious, roasted dark malt characteristics.
Every drink begins with the scent of heavy malt, smoke, toffee, coffee, and some impish booze. The sip starts with deep, dark, smoky notes. The finish continues the thick barrel characteristics that revel in its high ABV, lending an impressive heat that only heightens the taste.
Every pour has first time drinkers absolutely enamored. “5/5. I don’t wanna overrate, but damn. This thing.” Or, how about, “This is EXCEPTIONAL. DRINK THIS, NOW.”
We agree. But, we don’t have an infinite amount! In the words of @Herbabee on Beer Advocate: “This is just prestigious stuff. Haul in what you can of this sleeper hit.”
