About This Beer
To celebrate 7 years of crushing it in the craft world, the team at Matchless did a deep dive into their barrel library and created something truly worthy of the occasion. They started with an Imperial Rye Stout aged in rye whiskey barrels and blended it with an Imperial Brown Ale aged in whiskey barrels that formerly held Pinot Noir red wine.
Tasting Notes
The result is more decadent and delicious than ANY dessert you’ll find served at a normal 7-year-old’s party. Lip-smacking notes of caramel-drizzled raisin cascade over a bed of roasty malts. Milk chocolate nuances and hints of plum give way to a complex finish boasting a subtly vinous character. Delicate pops of oaky vanilla and rye spice linger on the palate, inviting you to indulge in another sip.
