About This Beer
To craft this highly limited Imperial Coffee Stout, the Dark beer Lords at 903 Brewers used techniques you can’t learn from a Jedi. They started with plenty of chocolate rye malt in the base. Then, they further embraced the dark side and conditioned the brew on Sumatran coffee beans.
Tasting Notes
Every sip flows thick with notes of fresh-ground espresso and melty cocoa. A whisper of hazelnut floats in on the finish. An enormous 12.6% ABV lurks underneath, like the rancor under Jabba’s palace.

Love the coffee balance within this stout. A slight sweetness at the end that brings me to my next sip.

Coffee flavors in this stout are a really nice combination.

Great coffee flavor

Roastiness coming from the coffee. Would prefer it being a bit thicker, but definitely boozy. Let it warm some and the flavors came out more. Rye was a nice change of pace.

Really an all around fantastic coffee stout. Very dark and bold. Has all the things I look for in a stout with the coffee flavor I love. The coffee doesn’t overwhelm the stout taste either

Really like how this tastes. Strong rye and coffee presence, pleasantly boozy presence. Don’t know why it rates so low here and elsewhere.

Taste just like coffee

Decent but overall underwhelming. These days if you're going ti come out with a big coffee beer... it better deliver in a BIG way. This beer only brought its game to about 72-76%. Decent but not enough

Not for me. But I’m sure others would like this one

Much better than the other two that came in this 3 pack. Little too roasty for my tastes, but overall good

Very nice stout aromas. Bitter, but not overly so. Great chocolate flavors. The rye gives this a really interesting end flavor. I’m definitely a big fan of using rye in a stout after tasting this.

You don’t always anticipate a lot from a beer with a gimmicky name. But I’m happy to report that Java the Hutt delivered way above my expectations.
Nice chocolate and coffee roasted aromas. Really well-balanced flavor the roast malt, rye and the coffee is a nice accompaniment. Just a little too sweet for my palate. Beautiful dark dark color, very opaque and near black.

Bought it for the label, was surprised by the beer itself!

Aged for a year, but not at all diminished; it retained all of its fudgy, roasty, slightly spicy and fruity, and altogether indulgent glory. Sip after sip, it’s everything that Jabba would want.
