Hazy-hunting, Tavour hopheads have been borderline stalking Matchless Brewing ever since they exploded onto the NW craft scene with their super juicy, All Fluff IPA. It earned a whopping 4.35 rating from our members, creating a following of die-hard fans.  But what happens when you fluff-up an All Fluff IPA? It gets so soft, it turns into a cloud -- and not just any cloud, a juicy, jammy sipper you can float away on like Matchless’ 9th Cloud Hazy IPA.

Matchless made this fruity, orange marmalade cloud-in-a-can for the 9th anniversary of Seattle’s Beer Authority bottle shop -- a well respected destination in the competitive hop-dominated region Visit the shop, and you’ll see that the owner Burc McFarlen has, what he calls, “a real love for the hop!”

To make a hop-worshipping IPA that Beer Authority would be proud of, Matchless drew juicy inspiration from All Fluff IPA -- but for 9th Cloud they’ve twisted the fluff into the sweet flavors of peaches and cream. With an extravagant use of Waimea, Eldorado and dry-hopped Citra, 9th Cloud delivers orange creamsicle, soda-like flavors with a balanced bitter bite, softly enveloped in the fluffiest, jammiest mouthfeel from a hefty malt bill of oats and wheat.

Here’s a softness scale to help demonstrate the experience of sipping this brew: Hard--Medium--Soft--Pillowy--Fluff--All Fluff--9th Cloud. This hazy IPA will whisk you away to dreamland, but there’s no need to pack a pillow with 9th Cloud by your side.
