About This Beer
To create, Gabe Fletcher and his AK crew blended two different batches of their luscious Barleywine base, each aged sequentially in a carefully chosen procession of barrels. The casks in question included: Old Fitzgerald 6 year bourbon, Calumet Farms 15 year bourbon, Elijah Craig 8 year Bourbon, Willet rye whiskey, Heaven Hill 15 year malt whiskey barrels, and an Anchorage Brewing Company / Denali Spirits whiskey barrel.
Tasting Notes
Look for flavors of toffee and whiskey-kissed fudge mingling with hints of oak. Ribbons of vanilla should wind towards a finish that remains almost impossibly smooth at 20.65% ABV.
