About This Beer
For this newest Double Oaked (Batch 7) version, the crew let it age in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for 10 months, then transferred it to Willett Rye Bourbon barrels for an additional 6-month slumber.
Tasting Notes
On the sip, notes of dark chocolate-covered cherries cascade into golden toffee nuances and lip-smacking pops of dates. Hints of whiskey vanilla, rye, and oak round out the backend, expertly hiding the boozy 17% ABV.
