A Note on This Beer

Zero degrees Kelvin, aka Absolute Zero, is thought to be the coldest temperature possible.

Many scientists say this state is impossible to achieve, but the hop masters at Adroit Theory say not so fast! Today’s Absolute Zero Quadruple IPA puts the theory to the test by turning down the heat to near undetectable levels.

Chock-full of Simcoe, Citra and Strata Hops, this intensely flavorful West Coast-style ‘QIPA’ sees the Virginia brewery reaching for the limits of craft beer with a staggering 12% ABV.

Seriously delicious doses of resinous pine and pithy grapefruit swirl in each sip, hiding the boozy warmth with a caramel sweet finish. With such a complex flavor profile in each full-bodied drink, it’s no wonder fans like @Derek F. agree with the science: “They’re absolutely right, I can hardly taste the booziness!

Neil Degrasse Tyson maintains you “absolutely cannot reach absolute zero from a quantum physics perspective.” Nonsense to all that mumbo jumbo; it’s right here! Grab yourself a can and prove that you can achieve the impossible!

Tavour strictly supports independent beer. Adroit Theory Brewing Company is certified independent by the Brewers Association

This is awesome. Clear and crisp. Packs a hop punch. Little boozy due to the high ABV, but I expected that from an imperial quadruple style IPA at 12% from one of the best in the craft game. Anything from Adroit Theory is worth a pour of your time and attention. Also, it was really a nice change of pace to have an IPA that wasn’t cloudy or hazy or tasting like juice.

Low froth, boozy but doesn’t reveal its true percentage on the tongue. I’ve been doing so many NEIPAs this one was a departure for sure, but I love all of what the Deth-Brewmeisters are doing at Adroit.

Daily corona battle. Living on the sun edition. This is strong, but not boozy. Lots of pine and hops and deliciousness. Smooth and quad sweet and hop oily finish that goes down easy.

An outstanding West Coast IPA that perfectly captures the flavor of this style while maintaining a silky smooth mouthfeel in perfect harmony with what a beer at this gravity level should be. A wonderful balance of hop bitterness and flavor with the sweetness of a 12% beer. I would drink this beer every time it’s available.

Absolutely wonderful. One of the very best West Coast Style IPA’s I have ever tried - and I have tried quite a number.

Perfect balance of bitter and sweet. It's boozy for sure, but hides it's 12% well.

So boozy the hop profile disappears. Comes off almost malty. Meh.

Amazingly sweet in the best way. A bit of a dry finish, but as enjoyable as it is heavy.
