A Note on This Beer
Abe Lincoln once said, “All that I have learned, I learned from books.”
While today’s massive Maple-Bourbon Barreled R.I.S has no pages to turn, it’s a complex and ever-changing story you’ll want to experience again and again.
And, if this were a book, you’d be hard pressed to find a copy of your own — they’re already sold out at the brewery. That means, lucky Tavour members are the only ones who get to try this masterclass in decadent dark beer!
I also have incredible news: All That I Have Learned (Ghost 987) was aged in William Larue Weller barrels that previously stashed rich, thick, maple syrup!
These are some of the best bourbon barrels on the market, and they lend light toffee and vanilla notes from the charred oak to compliment the chocolate, marshmallow, and coffee complexity of the base brew. The rich flavors blend with the molasses and caramel flavors from the decadent maple, swirling with flavor in every sip.
This devilishly drinkable glass comes in at an outstanding 16.66% ABV, but like the top-notch whiskey and syrup it shared a barrel with, it goes down with luscious, velvety smoothness.
Abe Lincoln himself was born in Kentucky, and once was a bourbon purveyor! But, it’s going to be WAY less than four score and seven years for Adroit’s beer to disappear.
