About This Beer
Dwinell Country Ales crafts Almira with so much care, it’s best to just list out what makes it so worthy of the most celebratory times in your life:
- First, they made it in the Pétillant-Naturel style. Basically, they allowed the sugars from the apples to carbonate in-bottle, for a smooth, yet still delectably effervescent sip.
- Second, the apples used were a collage of the finest heritage apples: Muscadet de Lense, Marie Menard, Frequin Rouge, Domaines, and Muscat De Dieppe.
- Finally, every piece of this elegant Cidre is PNW sourced. The apples are from Willamette valley in Oregon and the yeasts are grown in Washington state – meaning the terroir from Almira is simply irreplaceable.
Tasting Notes
The combination of bittersweet apple varietals bring a light tartness to the subtly sweet and funky sip. An elegant effervescence comes from the in-bottle carbonation, elevating the hints of apple flavor with the Washingonian terroir on the finish.

way too dry and I could not enjoy it.

Alive and bubbling.
Super dry, slightly sour,
Peach, papaya, guava, and pink pearl apple energy.
Perfect pairing with a sweet cheese, salami, and strawberries combo.
As you get to the bottom of the bottle, it starts to give orange hard cheese energy.
Bitter, extremely dry, and a little skunky.
