About This Beer

Joe Correia and John Dantzler, the co-owners of Torch & Crown Brewing Co., are a bit like the craft world’s William Miller in the 2000 film Almost Famous. These child prodigies started homebrewing at the tender age of 16, and even won a few homebrew awards that their parents had to accept for them.

Now, they’re the proud team behind Manhattan’s only full-production brewery. They opened in 2018, and by 2020 they were already one of HopCulture’s 10 Best New Breweries. And this is the very first Hazy they ever released!

Tasting Notes

Citra and Mosaic Hops bring waves of ripe stone fruit and zesty citrus. It’s like biting into a luscious peach and washing it down with fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. There’s a whisper of earthy dank, and just enough pithy bitterness on the finish to invite you back for more

Bright citrus aromas that are just spectacular. Soft, slightly sweet, and incredibly well-balanced. Grapefruit notes are prominent with some stone fruit that compliments it really well. This is simply delicious.

Look- Medium gold, hazy, frothy white head, above average head retention, average lacing. Smell- Clementine, melon, peach, pithy. Taste- Clementine, tart, very pithy, melon, peach, earthy. Feel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, low bitterness astringent, slightly creamy. Overall- This was a little too pithy/earthy for my taste.

Daily corona battle. Rain held off, fun was had edition. Classic mosaic/citra combo. Mosaic leads with berry and peachy sweetness. Slightest touch of dank and earth to smooth out the otherwise sweet finish. Creamy and low hoo bitterness.
