About This Beer
To craft Anaphora, the New Image crew aged their signature big, black, semi-bitter Stout in a series of different barrels –– 18 months in rye, 22 months in rum, and a staggering 25 months in bourbon. Finally, they blended the barrels into one luxurious cocktail of an Imperial Stout!
Tasting Notes
Thick, velvety currents of dark chocolate and whiskey caramel cascade into coconut cream and vanilla oak on every sip. Whispers of woody spice and date carry on the finish. All that fudgy flavor completely masks the enormous 15.1% ABV.

the blend of bourbon, rum. and rye barrels is excellent. leaves a wonderful lingering aftertaste. just wish I had more of this to age.
