About This Beer
The New Image crew started with a big, roast-forward Stout which they aged in MGP rye whiskey barrels for a full 26 months, imbuing the brew with enormous notes of toffee and spice. They simultaneously aged a midnight-hued bitterless black Stout in Bardstown whiskey barrels for 20 months creating a silky beer brimming with cocoa and vanilla complexities.
Then they blended the barrels in a harmonious marriage of *ahem* spirited characters!
Tasting Notes
Thick, velvety currents of chocolate ganache, crème brûlée, and whiskey caramel flow through every quaff enveloped in soft cinnamon-y oak. Whispers of vanilla and date carry on the finish, all masking an enormous 16.17% ABV.
