About This Beer
The Maryland Craft Beer Competition multi-medalists at Elder Pine loaded up this excellent IPA with Simcoe, Citra, and Idaho 7 on top of a plush base of five different specialty malts.
Tasting Notes
Resinous aromas echo the fresh smell of towering pines. Zips of citrus in each soft sip shine like sun through the canopy, illuminating your taste buds with bright, zesty OJ and grapefruit notes. And underneath, an herbal dankness and hoppy bitterness balance all the smooth juice.

Apparently, if I’m anywhere on a forest floor, my preference is to be asleep or dying. This ‘Awake’ version just makes me want the others. Still, some solid juicy flavors with a touch of sap and a dry finish - just the watery light version (still 7%).

nice, light clean pale ale. nothing to write home about, but it would be a great beer with some pizza or burgers. wouldn't normally prefer this with nothing to eat

Creamy head, hazy appearance, tropical fruit aroma, fresh-squeezed orange juice and pine sap tastes, and lingering bitterness.

full nose of papaya, tastes less complex than it smells. super crushable. juicy without seeming like a gimmick. big juice bar vibes. refreshing mouth feel.
