A Note on This Beer
I really hope the government doesn’t catch wind of Black Project’s juicy new beer release.
Not because BACKFIRE is named after two(!) different secretive government projects. But, because it’s an insanely lush, gently puckering, Dry-Hopped Sour Ale brimming with what the brewers call “an outrageous blend of tangerine,” alongside tropical Lemondrop and Enigma Hops.
If the government suits, or anyone else for that matter, find out about it, they’ll suck down the whole juicy stash!
Fortunately, the Sour masters at Black Project are all about secrecy. They rarely repeat recipes, and they like to keep the full details under wraps. Heck, many of their releases don’t even leave the taproom.
And, it’s worked! Their limited creations have landed them the prestigious spot as the Denver Post’s Colorado Brewery of the Year — twice!
It takes a lot to stand out in the beer-soaked Centennial state, and it’s even more impressive that Black Project’s managed it through their covert operations. If the government discovers BACKFIRE, it’s game over, because everybody will find out and descend on the taproom stash faster than you can say “Declassified.”
Are you up for a top-secret taste of this tangy tangerine?
