A Note on This Beer
Every year, the sweets-loving team at Georgia’s Pontoon Brewing throws a bangin’ Brownie Bash “to celebrate all things beer, brownie, and decadent!”
Live tunes, exclusive brews, and a whole bunch of diehard dessert lovers — sounds like my kind of party.
But if you’re like me and missed it, you still have a shot at a taste of the festival! Today, we’re bringing you a PB&J-inspired variant of the Barrel-Aged Brownie Batter Imperial Stout that inspired the bash.
PB&J comes from a special blend of brews aged in grape, apple, and cherry brandy barrels for 6 to 28 months. The result is massive dark fruit flavors above the deep, chocolatey base — and it packs a whopping 13.9% ABV!
On top of it all, the brewers added roasted peanuts, peanut butter, New Guinea vanilla, and house-made strawberry and raspberry reductions for the elevated PB&J of dreams.
