About This Beer
If you’re like me, any cause for celebration means you’re lighting up a cigar and opening a choice bottle of brew.
The craft crew at Revision has aged their decadent Imperial Stout in whiskey barrels for a year, making Barrel-Aged Darkling perfect for Macanudos and merrymaking!
Tasting Notes
The pitch-black pour unleashes a bouquet of dark fruits soaked in whiskey and wrapped with leather string. The barrel’s oaky cracks imbue the base with ribbons of vanilla that brighten the edges of its malty baker’s chocolate bite.
A caramel drizzle sweetens the complexity of chewy fig and fresh ground coffee, belying the quaff’s hefty 13.5% ABV.

Smooth chocolate notes on the barrel-aging. Stout is very well blended.
