A Note on This Beer
Eight years and thousands of beers later, people still clamor for Ink!
No, I’m not talking about tattoos (and frankly, you shouldn’t be drinking a bunch of beer then getting one, anyway). I’m talking about the flagship barrel-aged dark brew from the beloved Cincinnati crew at Rhinegeist!
This Imperial Stout is the first one Rhinegeist ever made, all the way back in 2013. The crew carefully crafted this dark beer with the help of their friends at New Riff Distillery, letting the molasses-like Stout rest in their bourbon barrels for a full year.
Roasted malt notes swirl with the charred oak of the bourbon barrel. They dance with vanilla, milk chocolate, and even a touch of dark fruit. A belly-warming finish satisfies oh-so-smoothly, like a sip of brandy beside a fire.
Some beers are timeless. This latest vintage of the beloved Ink series makes for a delicious companion at any bottle swap. Or, stash it away and compare it to future Inks with your discerning craft friends!
Paste Magazine called Rhinegeist one of the Top Breweries of the 2010’s!
