About This Beer
his opulent BA Barleywine comes by way of two GIANTS in the craft game — Old Irving and their friends at More Brewing.
Tasting Notes
Thanks to the impressive malt bill featuring Maris Otter, floor-malted Bohemian Dark malt, Munich, and Chocolate Rye, each sip has HUGE notes of caramel, dark fruit, and molasses. Hallertau Mittelfrüher Hops adds a subtle earthy bitterness, bringing a beautiful balance to the finish. And after an extended rest in exquisite 15 Year 1792 bourbon barrels, all that flavor is even smoother, more complex, and accentuated by hints of whiskey oak.

Aromas of toffee, vanilla, and some bourbon. Sweet, full mouthfeel. Notes of toffee, raisin, plum, and just a little barrel. Solid barleywine.

Plenty of dark fruit at the outset. Good combination of malts that blend well with the bourbon-barrel aging.
