About This Beer
White Elm started with their already decadent Mega C&D, which absolutely oozes with creamy, chocolaty goodness. Then, they aged it in 16 year old Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels for over a year before conditioning it on black onyx cacao powder, vanilla, and Graham cracker crumbles.
Tasting Notes
This brew is a Pastry Stout lover’s dream come true! Waterfalls of rich cookies and cream cascade into delightful notes of warming whiskey and subtle wood spice. Meanwhile, milk sugar pumps up the velvety body, and makes this oh-so-smooth Stout feel like a real treat! It’s so sweet and satisfying, you almost forget this stuff packs a huge 12.5% ABV.

I love White Elm! Such a amazing stout, tons of chocolate and the right amount of barrel.

3.25, not very flavorful, pretty thin. Was expecting more from the ratings. It's okay, wouldn't turn down a free one.

lots of cookie flavor coming though

Sweet bourbons aromatics with a hint of chocolate.
Flavor wise, you get the bourbon barrel at the forefront, which goes into a rich chocolate, finishing with a creamy vanilla.
Very delicious. 4.8/5

Solid flavors. not as boozy as other battel aged dark beers. Delicious.

Very nice balance of chocolate with the stout base. Barrel aging is a definite bonus!

probably should have had fresh. definitely didn’t age well at all.

Solid beer and I enjoy this variant more than the non-barrel aged version, This kicks up the sweetness and a slighter thicker mouthfeel leads to a better experience. Can definitely taste the Oreo flavor!
