About This Beer

Barrel Aged Monotonous & Uncreative is a wax-dipped Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Pastry Stout brewed in collaboration with Other Half, Craft Beer & Brewing’s #2 Best Small Brewery in the World!

The duo started by brewing a Stout with rich cream cheese. Then they aged the brew in rum barrels for 18 months! Finally, they conditioned the dessert on decadent coconut macaroons and delicious Oreos.

Tasting Notes

Every thick, velvety sip glides over the palate with opulent notes of chocolate mousse, toasted coconut, and cookie crust. Whispers of vanilla and woody spice from the barrel carry underneath. Luxurious, indulgent flavors completely mask the bold 12.8% ABV.

Hard-core coconut, and some good cheesecake....almost so much so, it can give a false sour taste, but it has NOT soured. The cheesecake/cream cheese can give what some consider as being the beer went sour. This could be considered an acquired taste.

they used real cream cheese in this. It wasn’t kept cold and it doesn’t say to keep cold on the label. Infected and gross. I was cheated out of my money

Infected. Should've just brought an old curdled carton of half & half to the bottle share. Embarrassing to say the least. They really sold me on the collab and cute wax top. Dare I even open my extra bottle? A refund would be much appreciated!
