The imaginative Portland brewers at Ecliptic have fashioned their dessert-inspired Stout, Barrel Aged Oort - Linzer Torte Edition, after the comet-producing region of our solar system AND a traditional Austrian pastry!
Tasting Notes
Bushels of raspberries, flecks of lemon zest, velvety hazelnut milk, and a load of spices swirl together with the brew’s dark, malty base to create a cosmically rich concoction!
Twelve months in Bourbon barrels mellows the tartness of the fruit and citrus, providing a flavorful foil to the rich chocolatey backbone. The aging also imparts a whiskey aroma to the sweet nose, a welcoming aperitif to the light barrel heat and 11% ABV finishing each sip!
