About This Beer
The GABF and World Beer Cup multi-medalists crafted this beauty by aging their roasty Russian Imperial Stout base in freshly-emptied rye whiskey barrels for a year. Then they blended it with traditionally brewed Vietnamese coffee for a complex sipper that’ll send you racing back to your glass again and again.
Tasting Notes
Look forward to roasty espresso tones trailing dark chocolate nuances in every smooth, medium-bodied sip. Huge barrel notes will treat your taste buds to oaky vanilla, bourbon caramel, and rye spice before it all culminates in a silky finish.

Speedway Stout is perennially overrated and overexposed, with new variants available constantly despite the fact that the base beer is too one-note and bitter. This edition amplifies that problem by adding rye spice and bitter coffee notes. If we got the hefty dose of sweetened condensed milk Vietnamese also adds, this may have been a very interesting release. As-is, it's just strong and unappealing.

Notes of cooked broccoli and light oxidation. Past its prime.
