Many moons ago, the brewers at Old Irving banded together with their pals at Maplewood and created the divine Stout known as Trail Buddies. Tavour users were ecstatic, dubbing the decadent brew “a glass full of chocolate deliciousness” and “exactly what I was hoping for.” 

The original collab featured toasted almonds, peanut butter, Ecuadorian cacao nibs, and silky vanilla. While this recipe was already magical on its own, to create this special version the two crews decided to call in the big barrels: Elijah Craig 8 Year, Willett Rye, and Wild Turkey 6 Year.

An expert blend of nutty cocoa intertwines with delicate hints of dark fruit and earthiness wrapped in roasty malts. Dessert notes of caramel and coffee cut through the smoky and spirit-forward whiskey nuances, making the 15% ABV go down absurdly smooth.

Just one sip will have you forgetting the blisters, sunburn, and sore legs! Pull up a chair, throw another log on the fire, and enjoy a clear starry night out with your trail buddies.
