About This Beer
To make it, the crew took their beloved cacao nib, lactose, and local honey-infused Viking Funeral Stout and let it rest in 18th Street Distillery bourbon barrels. Plus, they added vanilla beans and toasted coconut to wrap it up in so much flavor, even Odin himself couldn’t help but marvel at the decadence.
Tasting Notes
Notes of dark chocolate and coconut sails over your palate like a longship, conjuring delicious Mounds bar vibes. Roasty malts ripple underneath, holding the sip together, while ribbons of caramel and brown sugar deepen the sweetness. Then it all culminates with a kiss of whiskey-oak on a velvety finish that leaves little trace of the 11% ABV.

Creamy head, honey aroma with hints of chocolate, sweet dry cacao taste with coconut and vanilla notes, silky lactose mouthfeel, and a warming bourbon finish.

Exceptional! Truly a liquid Mounds bar soaked in an oaky whiskey. Honey and lactose are notable, but take a backseat to the chocolate and coconut flavors. Wish I had bought more of this one.
