Traditions go hand-in-hand with the winter season. From going over to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving dinner to picking out a Christmas tree, they’re something we look forward to all year long. Personally, one of my favorite traditions is StormBreaker Brewing’s Winter Coat Ale. 

This year, the award-winning* crew at StormBreaker took their signature Winter Ale, loaded it with raspberries, and aged it in Bull Run Distilling’s Bourbon barrels for 12 months!

The result is a beer imbued with flavors of caramel-swirled Bourbon, notes of orange zest, and a touch of jammy sweetness courtesy of the raspberries. This Ale goes back with the ease of sledding down a freshly powdered, snow-covered hill. With a 7.5% ABV, it’ll add a little extra warmth to any chilly afternoon.

While the Winter Coat tradition remains an annual specialty from the Portland brewery, they’re always bringing their fans a new twist. Make sure you don’t miss out on this year’s special edition!
