About This Beer
For each annual release of their barrel-aged dark brew, the team uses a creamy base of oats and British specialty malts, then each vintage gets a unique barrel treatment. They matured this one for 18 months in 8- to 12-year bourbon barrels, bringing out complex nuances of vanilla and tobacco.
Tasting Notes
Each lighter-bodied pour sings with aromas of whiskey and roasty malts. On the sip, its silky depths reverberate with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and oaky spice. Caramelized nuances of nutty toffee and a hint of barrel char complete the ensemble.
