A Note on This Beer
The crew at pFriem Family Brewers calls today’s Pale Ale a “new school Belgian-American flavor fest.”
Yeah, I didn’t know what they meant either — until I tried it.
It turns out, Belgian Select IS a flavor fest! Bold notes of lemon zest, mandarin orange, and passionfruit meander through this brew from a heavy-handed addition of Citra, Galaxy, and El Dorado Hops. This is way more than just a hoppy Pale — the brewers use Belgian Ale yeast to coax out spiced aromas of clove, cinnamon, and a faint touch of banana.
And, it all comes together in a bright, clean, sunshine-hued body that is dangerously crushable, despite its 8.1% ABV.
Leave it to the award-winning brewers at pFriem to combine Belgian and American-style Pale Ales so seamlessly. They didn’t earn GABF Mid-size Brewing Company of the Year for nothing!
But, if you want to join in on the flavor fest, you better act fast. We have just 30 cases of this brew for all of Tavour!
This bottle conditioned beer may foam up upon opening!
