A Note on This Beer
The last time Munich canceled their Oktoberfest celebration was because of WWII. This year, it was because of COVID-19 — and that seriously bummed us out. We’d much rather be partying in honor of Bavarian culture and all of its beer, lederhosen, and sausage instead of being stuck at home.
Fortunately, we still have at least one good reason to do the chicken dance — Bernstein Bier from Nebraska’s Kros Strain Brewing. Sure, the brewery is thousands of miles away from the Bavarian countryside, but this is the sort of beer that has us shouting “Prost!” and clinking steins with friends and family.
This amber-hued Lager entices drinkers with notes of fresh-baked goodness that @Joseph S. says taste “like a liquid pretzel.” All that bready flavor compliments notes of honey sweetness and a touch of toasted nuts from the Vienna Malt. Plus, the brewers add Hallertau Mittelfruh Hops for gentle floral notes and hints of citrus.
Join us and live out Oktoberfest for just a tad longer, even if the oompah music is only in your fantasies.
