About This Beer
We’ve all heard it before: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And thankfully Anchorage didn’t with this 100% Riwaka IPA!
Tasting Notes
Each gulp has punchy, tropical flavors flowing with passionfruit nuances and zings of fresh pineapple. Hints of subtly pithy white grapefruit linger into a satisfying, dry finish. And at 6.5% ABV, it’s easy to crush a few.

First beer with Riwaka hops. Lots of grapefruit aromas. Passion fruit is prominent in terms of taste for me, but there’s definitely some grapefruit notes, and maybe even a bit of bubble gum. Solid offering from Anchorage, as always.

Tons of flavor; quite unique

One thing about me is that: I don't like IPA's. The hops at the end almost got to me. It was still a beer but, too dry and not as airy as I thought it would be.

Grapefruit flavor comes through on this one. Bold in flavor. I get something like a puffed rice right in the middle. IPAs are not my thing but this is not bad

Riwaka hops are solid. The little cousin to Motueka hops, it has no problem standing on its own.

So upset. Both Anchorage beers I got were bad. This one smelled and tasted like rubber some how. Just bad luck I got two that had gone bad

Wow! What an excellent IPA from a brewery that routinely produces some of the best tasting IPA’s!

Definitely taste the passion fruit in this one. Nice hoppy finish and not too heavy.

Different and interesting the Rikawa hops are intriguing and the passion fruit definitely adds to this making it not as heavy or dark as an IPA its definitely not what I expected but glad I got this Anchorage beer in my Drank List

I need more Riwaka hops in my life. Anchorage never disappoints on mouthfeel and balance, but that flavor profile from the hops is special; even for Anchorage Brewing.

I've typed something out and deleted it 4 times. This beer is just fucking fantastic. I'm not sorry for my language. It is that damn good, period.

So sweet and soft on the tongue with a lightly bitter finish. DDH’d with Riwaka hops. So fragrant on the nose - notes of citrus and stone fruit abound. Another amazing beer!

Im not big into IPAs with a lot of hoppy flavor, but this one is actually pretty good. I love the rare Riwaka hops and even though it is 6.4%ABV its still very smooth and easy to drink.

Another solid IPA from the great white north

First beer from Anchorage I did not like. Riwaka hops had a unique taste for sure but was more of a dry, stale taste than juicy and flavorful. I’m sure good for some people just not me.

Aroma is lemon peel with a good amount of herb. Flavor shows a strong presence of the herb with the lemon. Herbal lingers a tad without a hop bitterness. Interesting without a question.

one of my favorite breweries but this has a different taste than I was expecting, maybe the different hops?
