A Note on This Beer
Even with its hair-raising 9.5% ABV, every sip of Bite Triple IPA from Anchorage Brewing goes down softer than a fluffy cloud made of cuddly puppies!
It may be due to the top secret grain bill they used. Or, maybe they used some sort of magic spell to get this brew so pillowy. One thing we do know is, it tastes freakin’ fantastic.
Anchorage brewed it with nothin’ but lemon-limey Ekuanot Hops in the boil. Then, they added a load of Strata, Citra, and Citra Cryo in the dry hop, pumping up the silky-soft liquid with flavors of a Jamba Juice orange smoothie tinged by just a hint of cannabis.
Crack open a can and its potent aromas howl out loud. But, take a sip, and Bite’s plush waves of golden nectarines and fresh-squeezed OJ caress the palate like a comforting companion.
It’s amazing how Anchorage is able to brew up such burly IPAs and still hide the booze under juicy fruit flavor. But, that’s the kind of skills that earned them a place on must-try lists all over the nation, including a coveted spot as one of Thrillist’s Best Breweries in America.
So, if you’re lucky enough to get your own stash of today’s tangy TIPA, you won’t just be sippin’ on clouds — you’ll be floating on ‘em, too!
