About This Beer
After 35 years Deschutes is nothing short of iconic. And to commemorate three and a half decades of craft excellence, the brewers are celebrating with Black Butte XXXV.
The crew crafted this limited edition Imperial version of their renowned Porter with cocoa, tart cherries, vanilla, and a hint of bourbon, mirroring the flavors of a Black Forest cake.
Tasting Notes
Open it up and complex aromas of cherry truffles, oaky vanilla, and whiskey waft out of the bottle. The first sip will be filled with jammy stone fruit brightness and roasty mocha tones. More nuances bloom as the brew warms — artisanal chocolate and hints of molasses giving way to a whiff of pipe tobacco. And it all culminates in a caramel finale with a dash of warming booziness.
