A Note on This Beer
When my siblings and I were kids, my mom would take us on excursions to pick wild blackberries.
We’d load our plastic buckets with as many of the plump, ripe fruits as we could carry, knowing that Mom would soon transform them into pies, crumbles, crisps, and cobblers.
Our imaginations would dance with visions of hot blackberry cobbler topped with homemade vanilla ice cream.
Blackberry Cobbler from Martin House may not be my mom’s recipe, but it sure tastes like those sweet treats I remember! The brewers dumped over eight pounds of fresh blackberries per barrel into this juicy Sour, and added real graham cracker crumbs to the mash! The result is a decadent deluge of tart fruit flavor with a flaky pie crust finish.
The addition of lactose gives it that creamy à la mode mouthfeel.
Fans on Untappd are practically begging for another slice of this pie!
