To craft today’s double oaked version, the Anchorage crew aged a sumptuous Stout base in barrels for 14 months in a mix of Hemingway rye whiskey and Willett whiskey barrels. Then the Alaskan legends transferred it to a mix of Sazerac rye whiskey and Calumet Farms whiskey barrels for an additional 13 months before finishing it on vanilla and coconut. 

Notes of creamy cocoa and coconut anglaise should cascade through every sip. Anticipate a flavor like a bite of whiskey-soaked German chocolate cake drizzled with golden caramel. A touch of rye spice ought to balance the sweetness with decadent complexity. Careful though — it all hides a 20.19% ABV!
