About This Beer
I’m officially asking the crew at DubCo to change the name of this beer.
After a whopping 18 months in Willet Bourbon Barrels, it should be called Cherishing of Stout. Or maybe Adulation of Stout. Because this brew has obviously been treated with the utmost care and respect.
Tasting Notes
It’s 12% ABV provides a gentle nuzzle of warmth, wrapped up in a blanket of big fudgy flavors from a dose of cacao nibs. Real honey and a ribbon of vanilla top things off, providing a thick body and creamy finish that’ll wrap up your taste buds like a cozy embrace.

Pretty nice and chocolately. No barrel really.

didn’t think i’d like it cuz of the honey but i was impressed... def better than the other stouts with honey i’ve had from Tavour

Horrible. Aroma and taste are both artificial all day. Metallic. Seriously considering as a drain pour, but at $8 per can, that’s shameful.

never was a Willet fan, the off barrel flavor shows up here. kinda over oaked tannins without the sweetness. mouthfeel is thinner than expected for a barrel aged stout at this ABV. now I’m not saying it ain’t good cause it is. it just may not be for everyone

can’t quite get the honey, but solid otherwise.

decent. too much vanilla and honey overtaking the barrel and stout.

A well constructed BBA stout to be sure. The honey flavor is dominant, which overshadows the other flavors, hence my sub 4 rating. The barrel flavor, cocoa, and coffee notes come through, but are muted by the honey.
4.5
bourbon flavor without the booziness

Total abuse of my tastebuds…tastes like choc stout with a hall’s cough drop mixed in. Stars are for the ABV.

Fudgy, vanilla aromas with a touch of honey. Fairly smooth mouthfeel, thicker as it warms. Nice sweetness. Notes of cocoa, bourbon, and vanilla.

either infected, or can’t age worth a damn. only had it a few weeks and it turned.

Nice chocolate notes on the stout base. Slight sweetness from honey. Barrel-aging adds good notes.
