A Note on This Beer
While all the other breweries at the Great American Beer Festival are vying for medals and prestige, there’s one laid back booth that doesn’t do competitions.
Everyone from The Beer Travel Guide to the Colorado Sun lists Adroit Theory as one of the Top 25 Breweries to Visit at GABF, but you won’t see this heavy metal-loving brew crew going after any fancy-schmancy awards.
They don’t need them — their fans are already hardcore as it is! Instead, Adroit comes to socialize and just have a blast pouring beer.
Beer that bends tradition as much as they do! They double dry-hop today’s Break the System Hazy Imperial IPA with not just one, two, or three types of hops, but FIVE: Azacca, Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Mosaic!
Leave it to these ace brewers to extract a massive surge of flavor from this hoppy pentagram! Bright, candied citrus on the nose sets the stage for a rainbow of tropical fruit uniquely accented with misty pine forest and an earthy dankness that lingers through the finish. It’s creamy smooth too, from a dose of lactose.
You’re going to need at least a few sips in order to really explore all the complexity in this hazy beauty. So while we’re all waiting for GABF 2020 (it’s not ‘til September), grab some extra cans of this convention-smashing sipper and kick back Adroit style!
This beer is too new for ratings!
