Bretta Blanc 2019 Vintage is an elegant find. The brewery only made 1,800 cases, and a year later there are only a fraction left in existence! 

Here’s how this delicate gem came to be, winning over the palates of UT drinkers who grace it with a 4.14 rating:

• The brewery showcases Sauvignon and Chenin Blanc grapes grown over three seasons on their own vineyard. 
• Firestone Walker ages the beer-wine hybrid for 12-36 months of maturity in a blend of barrels to evoke tannins and woody spice.
• They use Brett throughout the brewing process. From fermenting with it in stainless steel for a month, to moving into barrels with their "house culture" to develop funk that accentuates the honeydew melon, passionfruit, oak, and floral notes.
• The brewers then bottle-condition the beer for over two months to create its champagne-like carbonation. 

The result is a bold, 8.9% ABV, barrel-aged Wild Ale with leagues of depth — far more complex than a typical Sour. Looking to elevate your palate? A taste of Bretta Blanc feels like stepping into a prized barrel room.
