Mikkeller Brewing is like the Russell Wilson of the craft scene. This crew is a big-time brewing MVP!

They started 15 years ago in Copenhagen, snagging Danish Brewery of the Year in their first year running. Since then, they’ve traveled all over the globe to collaborate with other famous breweries, racking up world-class ratings on BeerAdvocate and an arsenal of awards along the way.

Which is why I go a little bonkers every time I have the chance to snag cans of California Dreaming Czech Style Pils for football season — it’s like I’m kickin’ back with the Mikkeller brewers, toasting to another Seahawks victory!

Even if the Seahawks aren’t your team, I’m sure you can agree — football fans are choosy about their game-time brews. And, Mikkeller crafted this particular sideline sipper with Ale Yeast, so it delivers all the crisp, bready-goodness needed for me to stay fiery and refreshed all Sunday long. 

It’s a delightfully drinkable combination of mild pine resin and lemongrass that leads fans like @Nick V. to declare, “Ugh, refreshing! Go Rams!”

While I can’t agree with Nick about the Rams, I can agree that this light-bodied brew is a total winner.
