Fair State Brewing Co-op and BlackStack are Hazy IPA juggernauts in the Midwest. 

BlackStack’s juice skills earned them a Hop Culture shout-out as one of the 5 Best Craft Breweries in the Twin Cities. And, Fair State’s Hazies won the Judge’s Choice in two categories at Tavour’s own fan-favorite IPA blind tasting. 

Not only are they two of Minnesota’s favorite haze heroes, but they are freakin’ next door neighbors! In fact, they’re so close that they probably could’ve shouted through the walls at each other to come up with the recipe for today’s juicy collab, Can Phone!

The brewers landed on double dry-hopping their frothy hazebomb with a cutting-edge blend of flavor-strong Idaho 7 and Mosaic Hop cones, super-concentrated Mosaic Cryo and Columbus Cryo, and HBC 692 Hops — a.k.a. Talus Hops, one of craft’s newest and most sought-after varieties.

Notes of orange peel and grassy pineapple linger on the tongue with every fluffy sip, with citrus-soaked berry flavors taking center stage through the floral finish. This Hazy tastes like a blueberry lemon cupcake dressed in silky, citrus frosting and garnished with dried rose petals!

BlackStack and Fair State coming together for Can Phone is a treat even for Minnesotans. They’re raving that “Everything about it is awesoooome!” 

But, just because these brew crews are close friends and neighbors, it doesn’t mean we’ll ever see them drop another batch of this tasty Hazy again!
