A Note on This Beer

When I was a kid, I wreaked havoc at 7-Eleven.

I'd pillage the slushy machine and mix every flavor together like a mad scientist — it was insanely delicious!

Today, I get to relive those days of mouth-watering mayhem thanks to slushy beer specialists at Wiley Roots and 903 Brewers!

Each brewery crafted their own mega fruity version of Cannonball Run.

Eater’s #1 Essential Dallas Brewery, 903 Brewers, crafted their adaptation with cranberry, peach, lemon, and brown sugar. It tastes like a tangy peach turnover with a spritz of citrus zest.

If you’ve ever hit the smoothie store and a doughnut shop in the same morning, then you know how tasty the combination can be!

*This beer is packed with fruit, so keep it refrigerated for freshness and don’t be alarmed if you find little bits of pulp when you pour it.

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

Tavour strictly supports independent beer. 903 Brewers is certified independent by the Brewers Association

I'm not usually an ale person, but the flavor profile in this sour ale is tasty and unique.

Wasn’t impressed. I usually am pretty excited about the uniqueness of the 903 beers. This one didn’t do it for me. It wasn’t bad but it was nothing special

Look: orange/pink/grapefruit color (?), cloudy, small fourth finger size white head of foam that left a ring of off white foam and no lacing as we drank. Smell: cranberry, lemon and them some peach with a subtle vanilla and malt Taste: follows the smell... cranberry up front, then sour lemon and some peach on the back that lingers with the sour, then maltiness nad vanilla that lingers a while with the malt. No bitter and no booze at all. Feel: crisp and fruity light to medium mouthfeel that is light and refreshing for an intensely fruit packed beverage. Nice tickle of light carbonation that stuck around while it warmed. Super interesting fruited sour. The collab is interesting and so we are putting the collab combo down below for those hard core readers. The directions for the collaboration beers (903 Brewers & Wiley Roots Brewing) say to enjoy them separate or mix them together so that is what we did! Wow... we were excited about the two beers but hesitant on the combo of the two... Bren was like, get two glasses and mix it maybe halfway up the pint glass... so I did... now we are going to mix the two together all the way... amazing, fun, sour fruit cobbler. 903 has the corner market on fruity beers and their collaboration didn’t disappoint. Is there a rating greater than 5 for a collab?

This is an extremely refreshing 903 sour! Great balance of fruit and bitter and I think the brown sugar adds a little something.

This is the “Zebra Stripe Gum” of beer, where you taste something for the first two seconds, then... nothing. And what little I do taste, is indistinct. This is the first beer from 903 that was a hard miss for me.

Can’t say I particularly taste the brown sugar, but this beer starts off with the comfort of peach and cranberries with smooth follow up of soft lime. Honestly, I was surprised by how tasty this is. On the note of brown sugar, this is rather sweet… but again, the taste of brown sugar itself is rather absent.

Decent sour with cranberry and lemon forward. Light brown sugar, not so much peach taste. Glad I tried it but not my favorite from 903.

Wish it was creamer with more brown sugar. Otherwise amazing! Definitely what you should expect from a sour with these flavors. Spot on!
