About This Beer
New Image founder Brandon Capps says he based this brand new release on his original homebrew recipe, which won him his first ever metal long before New Image was even formed. He started with Munich and Crystal malts, then added Belgian Candi sugar and black strap molasses to really accentuate the malts.
Tasting Notes
Every sip careens onto the taste buds with high-flying flavors of burnt sugar, raisin, candied date, and almond. Hints of clove and coriander from Belgian yeasts crumble around the periphery, leading to a long, lingering finish.malt

A little thin bodied yet has a pleasant fig and raisin profile

beautiful dark amber pour. almost no head. on the nose is fig/prune. low carb. peaty flavors. misses the mark big time!

Good but not delicious. The sweetness level was right on, but the flavors were thin overall. Not bad, but not one I’d seek out again.

Lots of clove and sour pumpernickel. I really like the extra depth the molasses brings in addition to the candi sugar.spicy and almost peppery
