The Beer:

For Chocolate Chip Flapjack Medianoche, WeldWerks started with the Tavour exclusive Chocolate Chip Flapjack Special Stout from 2021! They layered this beauty with real chocolate chips, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk sugar before aging it 18 to 25 months in bourbon barrels. Finally, they finished it on maple syrup and cocoa nibs for a decadent treat brimming in brunch flavors. It’s like a stack of flapjacks crafted with whiskey vanilla and absolutely loaded with chocolate chips. Only flapjacks don’t normally boast a 13.25% ABV! 

The Brewery:

Colorado’s hop-fiending-est craft fans travel to the state’s eastern plains from beer-soaked Rocky Mountain cities like Denver and Fort Collins for a sip of Juicy Bits IPA. Mention WeldWerks at a bottleshare, and that’s the beer everyone will think of. But this crew produces over 100 unique brews each year — like their Medianoche Imperial Stouts and their Key Lime Pie Berliner. They scored their very first GABF medal for a Hefeweizen back in 2015!
