About This Beer
I awoke to the clatter of falling aluminum and staggered toward the kitchen. My fridge door stood open, with empty cans strewn about the floor — not opened, but punctured on the side and sucked dry.
This must be the work of the legendary Chupacabra!
I blame myself. When I stocked my fridge with 903’s cinnamon and nutmeg-swirled Imperial Stout, I should have known it would attract the beast. What vampiric craft-cryptid could possibly resist the layers of brown sugar and coconut the brewers added to this luscious brew?
They even aged the brew on rum-soaked oak to add warming layers of booze!
Tasting Notes
Every chocolatey sip of this Stout pounces upon the taste buds with big fudgy flavors and warming spice, all soaked in molasses flavor like a Caribbean rum cake. Coconut materializes on the back end before easing back into shadowy hints of oak.

This is a solid sweet dessert stout. It has a decent smooth body and an interesting, coconut dominant, cinnamon and nutmeg-y flavor with a good rum finish. It’s not terrible but its coconut flavor was a bit too sun tan lotion-y for my taste...

My first initial sip took me be surprise by how sweet it was. There's a lot going on in this one and I loved the rum and coconut as I progressed through the rest of it.

Love it. Was worried about spiced rum barrel aged at first, but the coconut and spiced rum are an awesome combo in this one. Chocolate (champurrado like) and cinnamon hints come in about half way through. Only wished I bought more...Calling a cousin in TX to see if they can get more.

Stout aged on spiced rum oak, cinnamon, brown sugar, and coconut is right! And for 11.8 ABV it goes down way too smooth.

Amazing stout. The coconut and cinnamon hits you right away while the rum lingers on your tongue. As someone who is not a whisky/bourbon fan, rum barrel-aged stouts are gifts from God.

If the pirate Blackbeard was into dark stouts, this may be what he used to drink. Lots of spiced rum balanced well with some cinnamon in coconut flavors. Really interesting beer.

If you are a person who loves the flavor of BA rum beers combined with my wife and I’s favorite ingredient of coconut this is a must have. My mistake is I only bought one, it won’t happen again.

I was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately it is very coconut forward and I don't think it blends well with the dark stout taste here. I wish the other notes of cinnamon and brown sugar were more pronounced.

Dark opaque brown with little to no head. Aromas of chocolate, berries and hard candy with a hint of alcohol. Thick mouthfeel and lightly carbonated. Aromas transfer to flavors-strong chocolate and raspberry (even though no raspberry in the beer). I don’t get coconut in the aroma but there’s a big toasted coconut presence In the flavor. Big sugary sweetness, like drinking an alcoholic semi-flat DrPepper. A little alcohol heat on the back of the throat but really subdued for such a big beer. A tasty dessert beer.

Wow! Was this a strong one, and I liked it! Was not expecting that rum to come through as strong as it did. Great blend of flavors. The only thing I can complain about, is I only bought 1 can - that won't happen again!

There’s a lot going on here and I like it. The coconut and cinnamon definitely dominate, but there’s also hints of dark rum, molasses, cocoa nibs and dare I say roast beef.

Tasted like straight up Captain Morgan with a light coconut finish, and not in a good way. I drank half of it wanting to acquire the taste, but it was a half can drain pour.

Nice stout. Great chocolate nose initially with good rum balance and body. As it warmed up the cinnamon and coconut came through a little too strongly or me.

The rum screams for attention right outta the can. Since I appreciate strong barrel character, I’m a fan of the rummy nose and burn. Coconut also stands out, complementing the rum. A smooth elixir with a fiery side.

Pours dark black without much foam. Smells delicious like cinnamon, spices, and coconut. Has a strong cinnamon/spice flavor with a toasty chocolate stout base and a hint of coconut. It's all complemented by the rum/oak flavor. Has a nice warming feeling at the end.
