A Note on This Beer
Every time my buddies come over for a sip of today’s brew, they end up standing around with looks of utter bewilderment on their faces. They just can’t figure out how the brewers hid so much booze under such massive fruit flavor!
I guess that’s why Minnesota’s Fair State — named the Best Brewery in the Twin Cities by City Pages — calls it Circle of Confusion. Because this DDH Double IPA is packed with so much tropical, citrusy flavor, it will leave you pleasantly perplexed!
Seriously, I bet that after one sip of this 8% ABV juicebomb, even your craftiest, hop-lovin’ buddies won’t know what hit ‘em.
Call them up, pour ‘em each a taste, and watch as they form their own Circle of Confusion, smacking their lips and wondering how they’ve never heard of these Midwest masters or this palate-pleasing brew.
“Damn,” one will say, wondering if it’s the double dry-hopping of grapefruity Citra, dank and drippy mango-soaked Mosaic, and pineapple-y Denali Hops that makes this brew so mouth-watering.
“Oh, wowie wow!” another will exclaim, as the full, velvety body wraps around the hefty ABV, leaving him blissfully baffled.
“Oh, shit yeah!” the other will shout, agreeing with the lucky folks on Untappd who say that this beer is totally worthy of its massive 4.25 rating.
But before you let them drink up your whole stash in joyful juice-bilee, make sure you hide away an extra can or two in your fridge.
Because once your circle of confounded friends stumble home in a boozy, hazy daze, you’ll want to enjoy this tropical-soaked quencher in your own state of juicy, hoppy bliss.
Rated 4.25 on Untappd from the lucky folks who’ve snagged a taste!
*Heads up! Looks like there's a confusing hopbill typo on the can. But we called up our buddies at Fair State and confirmed, this baffling brew is chock full of Citra, Mosaic, and Denali Hops!
