About This Beer
I don’t know who Claude is, but I know we have one thing in common: we’re both obsessed with this classic dessert!
To recreate an old-fashioned Texas Pecan Pie in beer form, the brewers used all the classic ingredients you’d find in the real thing. They layered their Brown Ale base with hefty additions of real cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and maple syrup, then topped it all off with a pile of toasted pecans!
Tasting Notes
Every sip overflows with baking spice flavors and nuances of biscuity crust. Rich nuttiness permeates every drop, like a bite of actual pie, and the smooth finish leaves just enough lingering sweetness without getting cloying.

Tasted exactly like the description: pecan pie in an imperial brown: the pecans nuttiness was interlaced throughout, the body wasn’t too thick or full, the chocolate and graham cracker were present, as well

it had a nice balance with a bit of bitterness but a nice sweetness as well. I’m amazed how much it tasted exactly like a pecan pie.

when I first cracked this I tasted a hint of cinnamon, probably the crust! this has a great nutty taste. not too sweet and not too thick.

This is the best of both worlds; It's not over-the-top pastry stout, but still tastes like like a dessert while retaining the resemblance of beer.
